Met Eireann forecasts ‘torrential rain’ for Donegal and other counties

first_imgMet Eireann has issued two separate weather warnings as part of Ireland are set to endure torrential rain.A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Donegal, Connacht, Kilkenny, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary between 9pm tonight and 9pm tomorrow.Forecasters say up to 50mm of rain is expected over a 24 hour period. Rainfall will be “above normal” and the weather is expected to be changeable and unsettled overnight.The national weather forecaster says widespread rain is expected tomorrow (Wed) with a risk of spot flooding.However, it is expected to dry out across Munster and west Connacht later in the afternoon or evening.Wednesday is expected to be mild with top temperatures between 14 and 17C.
