WHO’S HOT The Chicago Bears’defense is about to finish among the top five teams of all time for fewest points allowed during a 16-game regular season. The Bears have allowed a league-best 168 points, which will place them second if they allow fewer than 19 points today against Minnesota. The NFL record is 165 by the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Second is the 1986 Bears at 187. Chicago also ranks first in yards allowed at 274.2. WHO’ NOT Midway through the season, LaDainian Tomlinson was an MVP candidate and fantasy football god. He’s gone cold just when the Chargers needed him most. Tomlinson hasn’t scored a touchdown or rushed for more than 86 yards over the past four games. In last week?s must-win game against Kansas City, he had just 47 yards on 15 carries, his second-worst output of the season. ROOKIE TO WATCH DeMarcus Ware had a breakout game for the Cowboys, recording seven tackles, three sacks and forcing three fumbles in the team’s win over Carolina. The 11th overall pick out of Troy is second on the team with seven sacks and third with 55 tackles. The forced fumbles, which came on all three of his sacks, were his first of the season. The Cowboys recovered one of them. STAT 11 Teams that have reached the coveted 10-win mark in the NFL this season. Four more teams — Dallas, San Diego, Kansas City and Washington — can join the group in the final week of the regular season. If all four win, the 15 10-win teams would be the most in league history.
