However, specific collegehiring information is provided below:For Folsom Lake College/El Dorado Center ( FLC / EDC ) campus, theadjunct faculty member works under the supervision of the areadean. The goal of this teaching assignment is to support studentsenrolled in the California Department of Public Health Departmentapproved Nurse Assistant Training Program ( NATP ) and by assistingstudents to correlate classroom content with the practicalrealities of the clinical setting and increase students’ ability toproblem-solve clinical issues as a member of the health careteam.The adjunct faculty member, in collaboration with the Area Dean,shall be responsible for:● Planning, conducting, and supervising classroom and clinicalactivities including practical demonstration of procedures inaccordance with approved program standards.● Identifying student needs for education and instruction andhelping to coordinate the development of a plan to address theseneeds.● Administering quizzes and tests for the students.● Completing daily attendance theory/clinical sign-in sheets.● Completing student records in a timely manner during the courseand at completion.● Reporting to the Area Dean/program director students whose workperformance does not conform to the program policies andprocedures.● Developing and maintaining the Student Handbook in collaborationwith the Area Dean/program director.● Reviewing the FLC NATP policies and procedures on an annual basisor as needed regarding program curricula and making appropriaterecommendations for changes.● Performing other duties as assigned.
