Safe injection sites make no sense

first_imgCategories: Letters to the Editor, OpinionThe city of Philadelphia is opening up some places for people to go who are suffering with drug addictions; places where those addicted to drugs can partake (shoot-snort-base etc.) without being harassed. The theory is that while there, in a controlled environment, they can also seek treatment for their addiction. Interesting. I’m not a fan, but I am open to the idea of trying it with men who have victimized woman and who suffer with sexual addictions. Why not open some spaces like prostitution houses, where men can utilize the service and then seek treatment for their sexual addiction while they are there? You can also go one step further and have a staff of ministers praying for them and the sinful roots. How does that sound?Yeah, it sounds as ludicrous as the first idea does.
