first_imgIndian rower Dattu Bhokanal finished sixth in the men’s single sculls competition of the 2018 Asian Games on Thursday after his boat capsized.Bhokanal, 27, got off to a good start but he lost momentum and finished sixth in the finals with a timing of 8.28.56 minutes.Liang Zhang of China clinched gold with a timing of 7.25.36 minutes while South Korea’s Dongyong Kim and Japan’s Ryuta Arakawa bagged silver and bronze respectively.SWIMMER KHADE MOVES TO MEN’S 50M BUTTERFLY FINALIndian swimmer Virdhawal Khade advanced to the men’s 50 metre butterfly swimming finals with a timing of 24.09 seconds.Khade, 26, toppped the Heat-2 charts and secured a fifth place in the final list.Anshul Kothari, however, failed to make the cut despite winning the Heat-1 with a timing of 25.45 seconds. He ended up at the 28th place in the qualification list.Finals of the event will be held later on Thursday.last_img
