Pregnant woman toddler seriously injured in deadly Longview crash police say

first_imgA pregnant woman and small child were seriously injured in a Longview crash that also killed another woman in their car Wednesday night, Washington State Patrol said.Shailynn Batchelor, a 23-year-old Longview resident, was driving a Saturn station wagon east on SR 432 when she turned north onto Douglas Street, failed to yield to traffic and was struck by a Ford pickup truck around 8:30 p.m., authorities said.The crash killed 21-year-old Courtney Miller of Longview, who was the front seat passenger in the Saturn, and trapped Batchelor and a 2-year-old girl in the car, state patrol said.The truck driver, Anthony Setera, 42, of Castle Rock, was not injured, authorities said.Both cars were totaled.The toddler was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries, state patrol said. Batchelor, who is pregnant, was also rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.The crash remains under investigation.last_img
