first_imgNorthern Ireland striker Gavin Whyte has been praised by his coach Michael O’Neill after scoring on his international debut in their 3-0 win against Israel.Whyte came on for Grigg Will in the 65th minute and scored Northern Ireland‘s third goal two minutes later in a comfortable 3-0 win over Israel in a friendly on Tuesday night.After the match, Michael O’Neill was full of praise for the 22-year-old.“I’m delighted for him, it’s a great start for him,” he said. “He has come into this squad on this trip and made an impact in training certainly, so it was good to give him an opportunity to go on the pitch.
